I have a staging site that I’m using for testing and decided to go ahead and update to 5.0 just to see what would happen. It seemed to work okay, but when I attempt to add a new post or page, the page loads completely blank.
I renamed the wp-content/plugins folder, refreshed, and they loaded fine. I renamed it back and deactivated the active plugins (just two of them) and based on that test, WP Ultimo seems to be causing this behavior somehow — the pages load normally when Ultimo is deactivated, but is blank when it is active (and all the other plugins are deactivated).
Since Gutenberg is the default in 5.0, I decided to install the Classic Editor plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/) and that makes the pages load fine, even with WP Ultimo on.
Curious if this this an issue that’s already on the radar. Let me know if I can provide any additional useful details.2 months, 1 week ago Arindo DuqueKeymaster
Thanks for the heads up! I tested it myself and was dumbfound to see it no longer worked (tested with with all the Release Candidates so far with no issues whatsoever).
Fortunately, the issue is small and I was able to fix it. I was planning to release 1.9.2 tomorrow, but there’s a chance I’ll let it out today just so people don’t experience this.
